2.3 MW Project Online at Campbell Soup Factory
Sacramento, CA site to provide clean energy for 10% of factory’s needs
Albuquerque, NM – 8/28/12 – A 2.3 MW solar installation is now operational at the Campbell Soup plant in Sacramento, CA., which utilizes Array Technologies’ DuraTrack™ HZ tracking system. The land is being leased to American Capital Energy (ACE), who will construct, own and operate the system while the energy produced will be utilized by Campbell under a power-purchasing agreement.
Capitalizing on the DuraTrack™ HZ system’s proven track record of reliability, robust performance and innovative design, Campbell will save money as the system continues to produce power at a levelized cost while utility rates rise over time. With more MWs deployed worldwide than any other tracking system, the DuraTrack™ HZ has proven itself in the field to be the best solution for commercial-scale projects like Campbell.
The DuraTrack™ HZ system will provide enough clean energy to meet 10 percent of the Sacramento plant’s needs, forming part of the company’s plan to generate 40 percent of its power from renewables by 2020.
