1.2 MW DuraTrack™ HZ System Now Online in San Joaquin Valley
Array Technologies’ tracker to power agriculture cold storage facility
Albuquerque, NM – 10/20/11 – Array Technologies has announced the completion of a 1.2 MW DuraTrack™ HZ tracking system for a cold storage facility located near Kingsburg, CA in the San Joaquin Valley. Constructed by EPC Premier Renewables, the site will help save on the high energy costs associated with large cold storage facilities.
Array Technologies’ DuraTrack™ HZ system was selected for the project due to its proven reliability, durable design and little to no required maintenance. The DuraTrack™ HZ system delivers the maximum return on investment by generating more power with fewer motors per MW than other trackers on the market today. Providing the best levelized cost of energy (LCOE) in the industry, the tracking system delivers the largest return on investment and makes it a perfect fit for commercial-scale projects like the site near Kingsburg.
The DuraTrack™ HZ cold storage installation follows several other similar PV projects in the agriculture-rich San Joaquin Valley, often referred to as the “food basket of the world.”
