Beijing International Flower Port Trackers Online
Island tracking systems mimic heliotropic movement of flowers
Albuquerque, NM – 12/5/08 – Situated on 1.5 square miles, the Beijing International Flower Port is one of the largest flower and seed germination farms in the world—that now also hosts 300 kWs of Array Technologies’ single-axis HZ trackers.
Part horticulture manufacturing, research facility and major public attraction, the Beijing International Flower Port hosts thousands of varieties of flowers in its large exhibition gardens—of innumerable colors, shapes, and combinations of both. It is also home to fruit and gingko trees, and hosts several festivals and expositions throughout the year.
One of the islands hosting several tracking subsystems resembles a battleship, with the arrays tracking on the slanted deck of the massive structure that is lodged in the green and flowering fields of the Beijing Port grounds.
This is the largest job to date for Array Technologies in China, which looks forward to building new relationships and partnering on projects in Central and East Asia.
