Array Technologies Ships 52 MWs to Fortuna Hills, AZ

DuraTrack™ HZ system to provide clean power for Yuma County residents

Albuquerque, NM – 3/11/13 – Array Technologies has completed the final shipment of a 52 MWdc (35 MWac) DuraTrack™ HZ system for a solar installation in Fortuna Foothills, AZ. The site was constructed in several phases by international engineering and project management company AMEC, and is wholly owned by Arizona Public Service (APS) which will utilize the energy generated onsite to power local homes and businesses in Yuma County.

The DuraTrack™ HZ system is the global leader in solar trackers, with over 1 GW shipped and more MWs installed worldwide than any other tracker on the market today. Equipped with an innovative articulating driveline design that minimizes material costs, the system can be installed on undulating terrain or within irregular site boundaries with no extensive grading required. With over two decades of field experience, Array Technologies delivers the most bankable tracking and racking solutions, with a proven record of durable design and reliable operation that has come to define the DuraTrack™ HZ system and its other products.

The first-ever solar facility built on Arizona State Trust lands, the $10 million generated from Arizona’s 35-year lease will be used primarily to fund public schools in the area.
