Array Technologies Completes Final Shipment of a 4.7 MW DuraTrack HZ™ Tracking System
Vineland, NJ. site will offset 4,950 tons of CO2 annually
Albuquerque, NM – 8/22/11 – Array Technologies has completed the final shipment for a 4.7 MW system in Vineland, NJ. The site, built by EPC American Capital Energy and owned by NJR Clean Energy Ventures, will provide power to the Vineland Municipal Electric Utility for the lifetime of the project.
Array Technologies’ DuraTrack HZ™ tracking system was chosen for the project, as NJR Clean Energy Ventures had to maximize the available land set aside for the solar facility. The up to 25% net energy gain over fixed-rack systems as well as its ability to conform to irregular site boundaries easily made the DuraTrack HZ™ system the best choice for the project, generating the maximum return on investment for NJR.
The site is estimated to offset 4,950 tons of CO2 annually, equivalent to removing 980 cars from the road every year. The system expands the renewable energy profile of NJR, while delivering clean renewable energy to Vineland residents.
