Array Technologies Completes 92 MW Tracking System for Alpaugh, CA Project
650 acre DuraTrack™ HZ system to power over 58,000 homes
Albuquerque, NM – 12/20/12 – Array Technologies has completed DuraTrack™ HZ tracking systems for two sites in Alpaugh, CA, for a total combined capacity of 92 MWdc. Developed by GCL Solar, the project was constructed by EPC Quanta Power Generation in partnership with GLC subsidy SPS Alpaugh. Owned and operated by Consolidated Edison Development, the energy generated onsite will be sold to Pacific Gas & Electric for the 25 year lifetime of the project.
The DuraTrack™ HZ tracking system generates up to 25% more energy than typical fixed-rack applications and maximizes the return on investment with the best levelized cost of energy (LCOE) in the industry. Designed for durability, reliability, and optimal performance day-in and day-out, the DuraTrack™ HZ tracking system has proven itself to be the best choice for utility-scale projects.
Located in Tulare County California’s Central Valley, the project spans 650 acres and provides enough clean energy to serve approximately 58,000 homes.
