Array Technologies Commissions 38 MW Project near Galt, California

DuraTrack™ HZ system qualifies for SMUD feed-in-tariff program

Albuquerque, NM – 11/4/12 – A 38 MWdc DuraTrack™ HZ system came online today as Array Technologies completed the final site commissioning for a project near Galt, CA., southeast of Sacramento. Constructed by EPC Swinerton, the energy generated at the site will utilized by the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD).

Qualifying for SMUD’s feed-in-tariff program, the project will provide clean solar energy to the Sacramento County area while saving the utility and customers money over the long term with the best levelized cost of energy in the industry today. While utility rates rise, the electricity generated at the site will remain at a low fixed rate—making it both an environmental and economic choice.

The DuraTrack™ HZ tracking system was chosen for the project because it can generate up to 25% more energy than conventional fixed-rack, while maximizing the return on investment with a design that minimizes material costs and delivers robust performance day-in and day-out. With more MWs of the DuraTrack™ HZ system deployed worldwide than any other tracking system on the market, Array Technologies’ trackers have the best field-tested experience in the industry.
