Array Technologies Breaks Ground on 25.2 MW DuraTrack HZ™ Tracking System in Arizona
Queen Creek site will offset a total of 654,480 metric tons of CO2
Albuquerque, NM – 1/15/12 – Array Technologies has started construction of a 25.2 MW project in Queen Creek, AZ. Located approximately 30 miles southeast of Phoenix, the solar farm is owned by PSEG Solar Source and is being developed by EPC juwi solar. The Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District will buy the energy produced under a 20 year power-purchasing agreement.
The site will utilize Array Technology’s DuraTrack HZ™ tracking system, chosen for both its durability and articulating driveline design, which maximizes PV ground coverage while accommodating undulating and uneven land without additional installation costs. Plus, the system will generate up to 25% more energy over the lifetime of the project than fixed-rack applications, ensuring that PSEG will receive the maximum return on its investment.
The system will offset 654,480 metric tons of CO2 over the 20 year lifetime of the project, while providing Arizona residents with clean and reliable power when they need it most. The DuraTrack HZ™ system delivers peak power when demands on the grid are at their highest.
