Array Technologies Announces Completion of 20 MWs in Monument and Eunice, New Mexico

55 MW multi-phase project now complete

Albuquerque, NM – 9/22/11 – Two 10 MW solar plants in southern New Mexico were activated today, completing the final phases of a project totaling 55 MWs and making it the largest solar development in the state. Constructed and owned by SunEdison, the power generated by the solar fields will be sold to Southwestern Public Service Co., a subsidiary of Xcel Energy, at a levelized cost for the lifetime of the project.

The DuraTrack HZ™ system was utilized at all the site locations—due to its ability to generate up to 25% more energy than fixed-rack installations and superior reliability and performance. Thanks to its innovative articulating driveline design, the DuraTrack HZ™ system is easy to install on any terrain, and it minimizes material costs to deliver the best return on investment in the industry today.

Located in an area that receives over 300 days of unobstructed sunshine, the five plants totaling 55 MWs will provide power to approximately 186,000 homes for a year over its 20 year lifetime, translating into long-term savings as utility rates rise against the fixed price of clean solar energy.
