Array Technologies Activates 1.6 MWs in Spain
Borges Blanques site will provide power to Lleida province homes
Albuquerque – 7/15/08 – The second phase of a project in Borges Blanques, Spain went online today, bringing the total PV capacity of the solar site to 1.6 MWs. Owned and operated by SunEdison, the energy generated will provide power to local customers in Lleida province at a low fixed rate for the lifetime of the project.
The site uses Array Technologies’ DuraTrack HZ™ tracking system, which maximizes ground coverage while generating up to 25% more energy than fixed-rack applications. With a minimization of materials and smart design that eliminates unnecessary and costly installation preparations, the DuraTrack HZ™ system ensures the maximum return on investment for SunEdison as well as lower costs for area energy customers.
With the completion of this project, Array Technologies increases its international solar portfolio, and the company is renewing its commitment to working with its customers outside the U.S. to meet their specific needs while maximizing their return on initial investment.
