4 MW DuraTrack HZ System Online in Italy
Mezzanotte Project to offset 2,430 tons of CO2 emissions annually
Albuquerque, NM – 7/23/10 – A 4 MW solar installation near Lecce, Italy is now online, equipped with a DuraTrack™ HZ tracker from Array Technologies, the worldwide leader in solar tracking systems. Constructed by OHL Industrial in partnership with Proener Renovables, the site will generate clean renewable energy for local residents and businesses in the Lecce area.
Array Technologies’ DuraTrack™ HZ tracking system was chosen for the Mezzanotte project, delivering field-tested reliability and robust performance through its innovative articulating driveline design. The DuraTrack™ HZ system not only provides dependability, but also minimizes material costs to maximize investor returns over the lifetime of the project. Able to conform to irregular site boundaries and undulating terrain without expensive grading or foundations, the system is easily installed at a fraction of the cost of other tracking systems on the market today.
The Mezzanotte solar facility is one of 12 recently constructed PV plants in the Lecce area, known for its abundant sunlight and world-class beaches.
