4.8 MW Green Acres DuraTrack HZ System Online
DuraTrack™ HZ system near Elk Grove, CA, just south of Sacramento
Albuquerque, NM – 8/17/12 – The 4.8 MW Green Acres solar facility is now online, as Array Technologies has announced the final site commissioning of a DuraTrack™ HZ system near Elk Grove, CA. Owned and operated by S-Energy America, the site was constructed by Signal Energy and the electricity generated by the system will feed directly into the utility grid.
The DuraTrack™ HZ tracking system was selected as it provides the lowest levelized cost of energy (LCOE) in the industry today, maximizing investor profits while the system continues to produce energy at a low, flat rate as costs from nonrenewable sources rise over time. The system’s innovative articulating driveline design minimizes material expenses, using fewer motors per MW than any other tracker on the market today.
Located on a flood plain, the DuraTrack™ HZ system can be installed on undulating terrain or within irregular site boundaries and is unaffected by potential floods, delivering durability and robust, reliable performance that is custom engineered to suit almost any type of environment.
