19 MW Project in Chino Valley, Arizona Completed
DuraTrack™ HZ system will provide power to Arizona Public Service Co.
Albuquerque, NM – 10/13/12 – Array Technologies has completed the final site commissioning for a 19 MWdc solar installation in Chino Valley, AZ. Constructed by EPC McCarthy Building Companies, the site is owned by Arizona Public Service Co.
A DuraTrack™ HZ tracking system was chosen for the site, as it maximizes the return on investment with up to 25% more energy generation than typical fixed rack installations. Engineered with an innovative articulating driveline design, the DuraTrack™ HZ system can be installed on undulating or irregular terrain without extensive grading or earthworks required. Designed with a minimization of materials, it provides robust performance and the best return on investment in the industry today.
With more MWs deployed worldwide than any other tracking system, the DuraTrack™ HZ has been extensively field tested for reliability and durability in many different environments, climates and weather events.
The solar site in Chino Valley is part of Arizona Public Service Co.’s initiative to expand its profile of renewables in a state that has exceptional opportunities for large utility-scale PV development.
