19 MW DuraTrack™ HZ System Shipped to Tonopah, AZ
Badger Solar Farm located on 118 acres in Maricopa County
Albuquerque, NM – 5/2/13 – Array Technologies has announced the final shipment of a DuraTrack™ HZ tracking system for a 19 MWdc project near Tonopah, AZ. The Badger solar facility was constructed by engineering, procurement and construction company juwi Solar Inc., and the energy generated will provide clean solar power to nearby residents in Phoenix, AZ.
The 118-acre site has installed Array Technologies’ DuraTrack™ HZ tracking system, selected for its reliability, durability and robust performance that has made it the most widely-deployed tracker in solar projects around the world. The system’s articulating driveline design minimizes material costs as well as operational maintenance to deliver the best return on investment over the lifetime of the project. With more than 1 GW product shipped, Array Technologies is the global leader in tracking and racking solutions, with proven performance in the field for over two decades.
The Badger solar site follows several other DuraTrack™ HZ projects in Maricopa County, including the 25 MW Queen Creek, AZ installation completed by juwi Solar Inc. in 2012, and the 151 MW Arlington Valley site currently under construction 45 miles west of Phoenix.
