1 MW DuraTrack HZ™ Tracking System Activated for California State University at Monterrey Bay

Array Technologies’ tracking system meets 16% of energy needs

Albuquerque, NM – 7/7/10 – Array Technologies has announced the activation of a 1 MW system for California State University at Monterrey Bay, which will provide approximately 16% of the entire campus’ energy needs.

The site, which uses Array Technologies’ DuraTrack HZ™ tracking system, is owned and operated by SunEdison, and the energy generated will be utilized by the university under a 20-year power-purchasing agreement. With a levelized cost of energy for the lifetime of the project, the installation will save the university money while reducing the environmental impact of its day-to-day operations.

California State University at Monterrey Bay chose Array Technologies’ DuraTrack HZ™ system for its superior performance, ease of installation, reliability and because it generates the best return on investment against other fixed-rack or tracking systems on the market today.

The site will offset 713 metric tons of CO2 annually, which is equivalent to taking 92 cars off the road each year.
